A Shelby County grand jury has indicted three employees of Kid University in Cordova on multiple felony charges related to the death of six-year-old Winter Jones, who died after being left unattended on a hot daycare bus.
The charges include aggravated child neglect, criminally negligent homicide, and tampering with governmental records against the daycare driver, 49-year-old Tametria Norry, Assistant Director Sabrina Powe, and daycare assistant Amilya Hardin.
Norry was the first of the three to be booked into the Shelby County Jail on Friday night.
The indictments follow the Friday Five, a weekly news feature focused on child care and early learning.
